The Stock Market is a huge industry …
I came across this article about weight loss …
” It seems that overweight people never reach their goals of becoming thin , and that many thin people eventually become overweight. The diet industry and the medical care providers profit greatly from this problem.
There are many people who lose weight permanently through dieting , but they have to continue doing what made them thin for the rest of their lives. Most of us cannot imagine being on a permanent diet or extreme exercise program. That is why the diet industry is so huge - it’s a big merry-go-round. People finish one diet , gain back all the weight they lost , and jump onto the next diet fad.
We are all searching for the diet that will give us permanent weight loss. There is only one problem with that - it doesn’t exist ! There are only permanent diets ! It only makes sense that if you lost weight on low fat , low carbohydrate or low calorie diet , that you are going to have to continue similar eating patterns on the “maintenance” phase of each of these diets. …”

My Comments : Please don’t get me wrong - I am not on any weight loss program. I chanced upon this article and as I was reading it , I immediately relate it to a lot of similarities to trading as well. Don’t you feel so ?
The Stock Market is a huge industry. Seminars gurus make the most money. Data feed and Charting software companies make tons of money. Brokerage firms make zillions of bucks … Who else do I miss out ?
You and me ? - still in search of the holy grail , the best trading strategy , the one formula etc … and it doesn’t exist !
How many times did you make money and “gave back” to the market later. Does this sound like the weight loss and weight gain example ?
Isn’t this stock market a merry-go-round too ?
I do not think I want to be a trader in my next life.
I wish to be a data-feed supplier . ( but I do not mind to be a little over weight as I am now. )
